Privacy policy

This policy describes how personal data is processed when you visit this website and when you contact us. It covers only the functions that actually exist on this website. The German version is authoritative.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Host Europe. The provider is Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149 Cologne, Germany. The hosting provider processes technically necessary data on our behalf to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.

3. Server log files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically. These are usually:

• browser type and version
• operating system used
• referrer URL
• date and time of access
• IP address in a shortened or technically necessary form

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

4. Contact by telephone

If you contact us by phone, your details are processed to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the inquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, your details are processed and stored to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required, unless statutory retention periods apply.

6. Contact form

You can send us inquiries through the contact form. We process the details you enter, such as company, name, email address, telephone number and information about your requirement or the inventory you offer. We use this information only to handle your inquiry and to contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR.

7. File upload and temporary processing

The contact form allows you to upload a file, for example an RFQ list or a stock list in PDF, CSV, XLS or XLSX format. Uploaded files are processed only to handle your inquiry. The file is held temporarily during processing and removed after sending where technically possible. Files are never stored permanently in the public area of the website.

8. Contact-form email delivery

The details submitted through the form are sent server-side through the web-hosting provider's mail function and delivered to D+E Tronic by email. The hosting and email service providers process the data required for this within their respective data-processing arrangements.

9. Contracted processors and legal disclosure

For hosting and email delivery we use carefully selected service providers that process personal data only on our instructions as contracted processors. Disclosure to authorities takes place only where we are legally required to do so.

10. Technically necessary cookies and no tracking

To provide the contact form securely, the website uses a temporary session cookie named detr_form. It is used only to protect form submissions against misuse (CSRF protection), is set as HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and is not used for analytics or marketing. It ends with the browser session.

The cookie notice remembers that the notice was dismissed only for the current browser session using local session storage (sessionStorage, key detr_cookie_notice). This information is not used for analytics and is not sent to third parties.

Beyond this, the website uses no visitor analytics, no tracking or advertising pixels, no map services, no external font service, no newsletter, no embedded social media and no external video services. No non-essential cookies are set.

11. Your rights

Within the limits of the law, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, a message to the contact details above is sufficient.
